Become an RPAL Mentor Today!

RPAL provides both one-to-one and small group mentoring. Mentors participate in an orientation to mentoring and are trained in facilitating a young person's development of a "Life Map" using a curriculum designed by The Life Plan Institute and the California Foundation. Being an RPAL mentor means being a positive role model for a young person, between the ages of 7 and 18 years old, who needs and wants one. Help RPAL close the gap between young people who need and want mentors and those who have them. Your mentoring participation may include activities such as visiting the library, walking in the park, attending a sporting event, shopping, job shadowing, helping with school work or just talking about what's going on. Any young person can benefit from a caring adult.
